About me

Hello and a very warm welcome to you!

We all experience times in our life when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, lacking in direction or purpose ... and it's at times like these when we might seek support in facing these challenges and making positive change. The body may remember the trauma of your life lived but with the right environment and support, emotional healing can be truly life transforming.  The body's ability to self-heal and the way a free spirit can liberate a person.

Training, qualifications & experience

I thoroughly enjoy supporting individuals and groups through challenging periods. I have been in a supportive role for over 20 years, the most impactful being my own healing through encountering my very own therapists who have been a bright light on my path. It is from these transformational therapeutic experiences that I am here with you as your journey begins. I am motivated by a lifelong curiosity in people and their capacity to develop, my passion is for people. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and work with a blend of evidence-based modalities.

As an Asian therapist, I bring with me not just my education but my lived experience navigating the world as someone with her feet in both Punjabi and British culture.  I understand the importance of working with a culturally competent professional.

I very much understand the stigma associated with seeking help within our own communities and understand the essence of true bravery it takes to make a change. Coupled with minimisation and stigmatization of mental health, there are real barriers for those that are looking to make positive change in their lives.

I have been fortunate through my work in both statutory and the voluntary sector such as addictions, criminal justice, social work, and education. Gaining a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of mental health struggles allowing me to adapt in a way that will benefit you. I am specialised in working with young people and families.

Training and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in CBT & Groupwork
  • BA dips Social Work
  • COSCA Certificate

I am registered under the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme (Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
