About me

I am passionate about helping people really listen to and honour themselves, to discover a more healing way of relating to themselves and the world around them and to develop the inner support and courage to live a life that honours their intrinsic worth and is in line with all that they value.

How I can help you:

Are you tired of feeling so bad? Are the efforts you are making to free yourself from this only serving to make you feel worse? If you are feeling sad, depressed, anxious, stressed, unfulfilled or if you are struggling with low self-esteem, or with a situation or relationship in your life, you don’t have to tackle this alone. It’s not always easy to see what might be keeping you stuck or to see a positive way forward. We all benefit from reaching out to others to help get some perspective on what is going on for us. Counselling can provide you with a safe, understanding, confidential space to help you do this.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Coach and a certified Meditation and Mindfulness teacher. I have a particular leaning towards approaches such as Person Centred, Compassionate Focused Therapy and mindfulness but will draw upon the conceptual and technical strengths of many approaches to meet your unique needs and preferred mode of expression.

It's not easy to look at ourselves honestly and even more difficult to see what the inner blocks that are limiting us and our life are. It's helpful to have someone to act as your compassionate and affirming mirror to accompany you if you wish to take that journey towards greater inner freedom. I can offer you the space to be heard, to try to understand in a compassionate way what is going on for you, to figure out what is holding you back and what needs to be put in place to move forward in a lighter more positive way.

I can also offer you tools and techniques or help you develop your own strategies for attending to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs in order to live life in a more fulfilling, grounded and relaxed way. Feel free to contact me to explore whether I might be the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
