About me

I currently offer online and phone counselling in Brighton, London and the rest of the UK. I offer a free 30 minute introductory session, as it can feel daunting to take the first step in picking a counsellor and it can help to meet with a few to see who might be the best fit and who you feel comfortable with.

In the first session we talk together about what has brought you to counselling and what you might want to get from counselling, though it’s completely normal not to know this right away, counselling is a process that unfolds during our time together and feels different for everyone.

I am here to listen and to support you in exploring things that are creating challenges or distress in your life. Having someone to talk to about your life situation and feelings, who isn’t connected to what’s going on for you, can help you to feel really heard and understood without worrying about other people’s feelings or worrying about feeling judged. Talking to a counsellor can help to stop thoughts circling around and around to alleviate feelings of distress and support you in working towards changes you want in your life by connecting or reconnecting with your own needs and feelings.

Whether you are experiencing difficulties and challenges with your current circumstances or relationships, feeling overwhelmed, anxious or low, I can help. I work in a person centred way, tailoring the sessions to meet your needs, supporting your choice of what to explore and what pace you want to work at.

I have worked with a wide range of issues, including relationship issues, family issues, co-dependency, people who are affected by a substance users behaviours, anxiety, low self esteem, imposter syndrome, depression, loss, bereavement, addictions, anger issues, self harm, abuse, issues around identity, and bullying.

If you have questions about counselling, would like to book a session or would like more information you can drop me a message, give me a call or visit my website.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
