About me
Hello my name is Rada and I’m an integrative Counsellor / Psychotherapist and EMDR trained therapist. We all experience times in our life when we could benefit from some space to talk and find a way through a crossroads and a call for change. I can offer a safe, warm and non-judgmental relationship whereby we can explore a way forward.
I am an experienced, fully qualified BACP registered and accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I offer integrative therapy to adults with the aim of ensuring that I adapt to your unique and specific needs. Research suggests that the therapeutic relationship is the most important foundation to creating change and I endeavor achieve this by demonstrate high levels of warmth, empathy and acceptance.
Your concerns are paramount and I aim to focus on where your needs are, whether this is related to the present, past or future. I draw on a range of models such as: person centred, cognitive-behavioural & transpersonal therapies. I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist; research suggests that this modality can be beneficial for trauma related events.
I am able to work with you whereby you may have experienced an imbalance and threat from power. Presenting issues may manifest as anxiety , 'depression' , trauma , grief , self-esteem etc. Additionally I hold a specialism in trauma : Acute Trauma / Post Traumatic Stress ( Single incident : Crime, accident , natural disaster) , Chronic (Repeated , prolonged trauma such as domestic violence and war) as well as Complex Trauma ( Relational, Developmental trauma, abuse and Neglect).
I am able to offer both short and long term work. It’s usually helpful to review our work after 6-sessions to ensure that we are meeting your needs appropriately.
I adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding policies. I also hold an up-to-date DBS/CRB check.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have clinical experience within the NHS, school setting and charity sector . Additionally , I have employed experienced within the specialist psychological trauma unit at Transport for London (TfL)

● BSc (Hons) Psychology

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I hold a specialism with relation to therapeutically supporting adult children and young people who grew up with a seriously mentally /emotionally distressed parent . Some parents may have received a diagnosis such as Schizophrenia , Dissociation or an other Psychosis . However, some parents may not have obtained a diagnosis.

Fees
I offer a free initial consultation session (1/2 hour) , so that we can explore what you may need and whether I will be able to support you with this, there is no further obligation and it would be your decision and choice about whether to proceed further. I will also be able to signpost you if required.
Fees are negotiable ,but would range within the sliding scale of between £50-£65 per 50 min for a counselling session. EMDR sessions are charged at £60-£75 per session.Concessionary rates are available for students and individuals with evidence of low income/benefits.
Before we commence the work, I will provide you with a copy of the Contract with includes information such as the Cancellation and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy .
