Rachel Williams (MBACP, RGN)
I am a fully insured, qualified counsellor with a Registered General Nursing background. I use different forms of counselling methods to suit my client’s individual needs, offering a safe space to explore many different issues they may be struggling with, providing coping mechanisms that can be used for present and future issues including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, addiction, bereavement, sexuality, identity, rape and sexual abuse, domestic abuse, chronic ill health, and bullying ( if what you are seeking help with is not in the list, please enquire and I will see if I can help, or advise a service that can). I am trained in CBT, and person centred therapy, and have some training in transactional analysis. As a nurse I have 15 years experience in alcohol and drug detox, palliative care, suicide attempts, self harm, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression to name a few.
Many clients are unsure of what to expect from counselling, or are a little skeptical to how it may help, in this case I would urge you to try just one session, and see how you feel, it’s not for everyone, but for some it can be life changing.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
