About me

Are you looking for a person who you can share your thoughts and feelings with without judgment? Are you are looking to seize control over your life? Make different choices? Understand who you are? I would welcome your enquires. I can offer you the time and space to explore whatever is causing you distress and to support you in finding your own solutions. Sometimes we don't even know what is causing us to be anxious or unhappy and that is ok. Together we can figure that out.

I have experience of working with a range of mental health difficulties which includes anxiety, depression, self harm, unwanted thoughts and addictions. I know that it can be frightening to talk about and I offer a warm approach to make you feel as comfortable as possible. There is no pressure or expectations to discuss what you need to until you are ready.

Trust is a big part of allowing you to explore your inner most thoughts and feelings which is why the pace of the sessions is determined by you. It is important that you feel safe and supported if therapy is to allow you to achieve your wishes or goals in life.

Counselling can be a life changing experience when conducted at the appropriate time, for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and maybe fears. It is also important to find the right counsellor to go through that experience with you.

I have a sound knowledge of working within my skill set and competency. If further support is needed I have a good knowledge of referrals and signposting since offering the best service is of upmost importance to me.

I am a fully insured and qualified therapist. Additionally I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and conduct regular continuing professional development. It is important to me to stay current and knowledgeable in an ever changing world which can effect how we live our lives.

I am currently offering online and telephone counselling and various times are available to suit needs. If you think my approach would suit what you would require from a therapist, please feel free to get in touch for an informal chat before making the decision to seek counselling.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
