About me

I am an experienced, Relate trained Counsellor and Lecturer with a M.A. in Relationship Therapy.  I have studied a range of psychotherapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, systemic, attachment, person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy.  This enables me to offer a bespoke therapeutic approach to explore problems from my clients perspective and understand how they feel to develop a clear understanding of their difficulties in order for us to work together to resolve them.

I have a passion for understanding people and how we relate with each other and following many years of study and training with Relate, I gained a masters degree in relationship therapy and worked for Relate Shrewsbury, Herefordshire and Staffordshire for many years as a Counsellor working with couples, individuals, families and young people.

In my private practice based in Muxton, Telford I provide confidential counselling services for couples who are finding their relationships difficult and individuals who are struggling with various issues they face in their lives.

The family counselling I offer is for family members, which can mean any family member or family dynamic who are looking for help in resolving difficulties and concerns in their relationships with one another.

The young people counselling service involves many techniques to suit the individual need of the client.  I have experience working with the many issues young people face, including self-harm, bullying, low self-esteem, relationships, anger, identity & sexuality, family breakdown, separation and loss. I have previously worked in many Schools in the Telford area with Telford & Wrekin local Council and I am now the retained counsellor for a High School in Telford.
