About me
Hello!
So, you’re here because you’re looking for support. Maybe you already know what’s on your mind, maybe you don’t. Maybe you’re feeling that something’s not quite right, but you can’t put your finger on it. Maybe you feel that you can’t talk to your friends or loved ones because you don’t want to burden them or be told you have nothing to worry about. Do your worries feel too dark to share with them?
You might not know exactly what you want support for, but you know you need something. All feelings are real, valid and mean something to you. Your behaviours in response to those feelings are also valid, but may feel overwhelming, scary and possibly beyond your control.
Feeling anxious, depressed and distressed are not personal failures, they are your mind and body’s way of letting you know you are struggling. Feeling overwhelmed, low in self-confidence and self-esteem are also your mind’s way of telling you that you want to feel better about yourself. You are not just a set of symptoms or a problem to be fixed - you have a story to tell that needs to be heard. Is it time you shared it?
I believe that everyone has an inherent capacity for growth and healing, and your voice, choices, and autonomy are the essential tools needed to achieve this. Whether you are seeking support for a recent difficulty or a long-standing issue, I will listen to every part of your story with empathy and understanding.
Let’s work together and explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We can process your difficult experiences and achieve meaningful change to help you become the person you want to be.
Training, qualifications & experience
- FDA Foundation Degree in Counselling
- BA (Hons) Counselling
- I have worked within an NHS Talking Therapies service and have supported clients experiencing significant psychological distress. I have a strong understanding of clinical best practices which have enhanced my compassionate, person-centred approach to therapy.
- Before qualifying as a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working in an advisory capacity for clients who had experienced traumatic incidents. This work influenced my decision to formally retrain as a counsellor and focus my skills on helping clients process their experiences.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
