Does something need to change in your life? Would it help to talk it through? Being 'heard' is crucial to our development and ability to validate ourselves as worthwhile human beings.
I provide a non-judgemental counselling service in a safe, calming environment to help you explore your current or past issues and work towards gaining a sense of control and empowerment.
As an integrative counsellor, I am able to draw from a range of theories to suit your individual needs. Through counselling, I can help you to understand yourself and as your self-awareness grows, provide you with the opportunity for positive change.
Many people have been given a label for their difficulties such as 'depression' 'anxiety' or an 'eating disorder'. I work with the person, not the label, and through this help you discover your worth as a person.
I provide a flexible and confidential service, built around your needs. I offer both long and short term sessions.
I am a registered and accredited member of the UKCP, I adhere to their code of professional practice.
I have regular supervision and undertake regular training for my professional development.
I have worked as a counsellor for 15 years within charity organisations and the NHS.
I qualified as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in 2009, I have worked within voluntary organisations, NHS and MIND along with private practice.
I have worked with a diversity of difficulties with very positive results. If you are interested in working with me, do call, and we can arrange to meet for an assessment after which we can talk about whether working together would suit your needs.
