Rachel Banks - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), BABCP and EMDR
At Pathways Health Group, I believe that sometimes its taking that first step.
Choosing your therapist is a big decision and you must feel that you can talk openly in the therapy environment. I aim to make the experience as relaxed and informal as that is what I am like as a person. I also believe that everyone is individual and therefore I will tailor therapy to your individual needs.
I provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as well as Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) for people experiencing problems with:
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
I also have experience treating:
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Specific phobia (for example spiders or needles)
- Social anxiety
- Anger management
- Occupational stress management
- Adjustment disorder
- Low self-esteem
My consultation room is in Easton on the hill and I understand that we have to work so therefore am flexible with when I can offer appointments. I am happy to see individuals after work and also run a full clinic on Fridays and Saturday mornings.
Appointments will last an hour and you will receive one to one psychological assessment as well as individual psychotherapy and counselling.
If you would like any other information about the the services that I provide such as counselling or other mental health services, please feel free to call me or email me using the above link.
Training, qualifications & experience
My core professional background is in Mental Health Nursing (10 years experience). I spent 9 of those in the Royal Air Force (RAF) treating service personnel and their mental health conditions. I chose to specialise in CBT as I felt that this is what I enjoyed most. I have now left the RAF and work to support people going through rehabilitation alongside my private practice.
