Thank you for viewing my profile. I believe your relationship with me is paramount to the success of our therapeutic work. The initial session is 90 minutes where we get to meet and you see whether you want to work with me and I check out if I have the necessary skills and capabilities to offer you what you need. I consider the therapeutic journey to be interesting, exciting and usually scary at the outset, therefore, my primary concerns are that you feel safe and comfortable-enough to begin this journey. I work with individuals, couples and small groups and we would discuss this in the initial stages of our work to ascertain the best approach for you with the difficulties you have been experiencing.
The therapeutic process is a collaborative one and I will encourage you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and help you to make sense of them so that you are better able to take responsibility for your actions.
Please feel free to contact me via phone, text or email if you have any initial queries that I may be able to assist with.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and alongside using T.A, I draw upon a range of therapeutic models and approaches from other modalities if and when I feel they may be useful and beneficial to clients. I have experience of working in a variety of settings including private practice, a prison, various schools and a therapeutic community which has enabled me to work with a whole range of clients experiencing a range of difficulties and concerns.
My qualifications include a Masters Degree in psychotherapy and a Post-Graduate Clinical Diploma in Counselling from Middlesex University. Alongside this I have a certificate in working with children and young people. I have undertaken courses in working with depression, phobias, clients with aspergers spectrum disorders, working with couples and psychosexual workshops.
My experience has been and continues to be rich and varied. I welcome the opportunity to connect and provide reparative experiences for those who have experienced difficulties or rupture in relationships.
