Further information

Making Choices

Having an unplanned pregnancy often causes confusion and worry. You may feel that there are no easy answers and under pressure to make a decision quickly. But it’s helpful to give yourself time.  Pregnancy Choices can offer you an advisor who is trained to help you consider your options with compassion and understanding. We aim to provide accurate and helpful information, should you need it, to enable you to make an informed decision when faced with an unplanned pregnancy.

We can offer you support, time to talk and the space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment.

“I have lost a pregnancy”

The unexpectedness of losing a pregnancy means you may need time, support and reassurance -  you do not have to cope on your own. You may be suffering from depression, anxiety, low self esteem or struggling with relationship issues. Pregnancy Choices offers a safe environment where you can openly talk about the shock, confusion, isolation and despair you may feel. It is a time for you to be supported and listened to.

Our centre offers a caring, confidential environment, where you can openly express your feelings and work through them. Our trained advisors are available to support you, and your partner, if you would like to come together, through your pregnancy loss.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
