About me

I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist based in Beaconsfield and offer weekly sessions on a short term or longer term basis, according to your needs.

Short term counselling is often used to focus on a specific problem for an agreed period of time.  Psychotherapy generally takes place over a longer period of time.  We would aim to explore different aspects of your life such as your personal history, your present and past relationships and your emotional life.

I provide a safe, quiet and confidential space for you to talk and think about what feels troubling or difficult for you. What you choose to explore may be related to a current situation or to a past experience which seems to be affecting your relationships and the way you experience the world.

My work is largely based on the understanding that our earliest relationships deeply influence our ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Survival strategies and ways to cope, adopted early in life may limit our adult lives or even prove destructive.

Counselling can offer support and an opportunity to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of yourself and your situation. Through increased self- awareness you can consider how to make different choices and to think about how you cope and make sense of life’s difficulties.

If you would like to meet for an initial consultation, please email me or leave a telephone message and I will contact you.

I am a member of FPC (WPF) and UKCP  and abide by their codes of ethics, professional conduct and practice. I have full professional indemnity.
