About me

Hi, I am a Person Centred Counsellor offering Individual non judgemental confidential counselling in and around Liskeard. I am a warm, friendly person, with a sense of humour and a genuine interest in all my clients, to offer them the best I can.

I have a experience working with various life situations, and all age groups from different walks of life; Stress, anxiety, depression, self confidence issues, self worth, relationship difficulties, abuse.

I have worked with survivors of sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence, and the ongoing emotional and physical impact that this has on survivors.

I appreciate how difficult it can be to seek help at a time when we may feel overwhelmed, but I will do my best to support my clients explore their concerns.

I believe in providing a non judgemental warm therapeutic space for my clients to feel safe, I aim to make my clients feel at ease and build a great working relationship.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I abide by their ethical framework and guidelines; I am committed to ongoing continual professional development to offer the best I can to my clients.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
