About me
Deciding to come to therapy isn’t often easy. Many things could have led to you searching on this page. Are you feeling anxious, down, lost, stressed, numb, all or none of the above?
50 minute sessions are a time for you. Confidential, no outside interruptions and a space where you matter. Paired with a therapist who will be non judgemental, empathetic and knowledgeable.
My therapeutic orientation is humanistic-existential psychotherapy, specifically person centred. With this at my core I practice from an integrative approach; adapting to meet your needs and offering CBT techniques, creativity and psycho education.
I am a registered member of the BACP. Membership number: 409835. My membership demonstrates that I meet high standards of proficiency, professionalism and ethical practice.

- Level 2: Counselling Skills

Aside from counselling I have over 10 years experience working in the field supporting people who have experienced crime. This has been through employment with Rape Crisis as a Children and young persons’ Independent Sexual Violence Advocate and with Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the Victim and Witness Hub.
My counselling and other work have given me experience supporting young people and adults. People struggling with issues such as bereavement, trauma, anxiety, stress and loss.
Often clients are navigating life after loss; be it a life without someone close, or if they want to find their identity again after injury, health changes, trauma or a change in circumstance. “I don’t know who I am anymore now that…”. So many people are told who they are or what they should “be”. Our counselling will be free of that. You find and choose what defines you. If this resonates with you, please do get in touch.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My interests are running, cooking, playing football, painting, clay work, sketching and walking my dog Daisy (pictured!).
Having received therapy myself, I know how it feels to be that side of the room. I am aware of the mental toll that injuries can have on a person and navigating changes in one’s sense of identity.
Thank you for visiting my page and I look forward to connecting with you.
