About me

Do you keep repeating the same dysfunctional patterns without knowing why or how to change?

  • Do you find it difficult to have fulfilling relationships without mistrust, anxiety, or emotional detachment getting in the way?
  • Do you have a loud inner critic and find it hard to be kind to yourself?
  • Do you find yourself people-pleasing, even when you're feeling burnt out?
  • Do you self-isolate when things get difficult?
  • Or, maybe you push yourself to be perfect, not allowing yourself to make a mistake?

We are all shaped by our early experiences: they are the foundation of how we learn to see ourselves, other people, and the world around us. If you have persistent patterns that are causing issues in your life, it could be linked to the way you learned to interpret and respond to the world around you when you were young.

If you are seeking to understand yourself more deeply and how your childhood and familial relationships may have shaped you, then feel free to get in touch today.

Training, qualifications & experience

I provide psychological therapy for a range of issues, including trauma and related disorders (CTPSD, PTSD), anxiety & panic, low mood & depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, identity issues, and stress & burn out.

I bring a warm, compassionate, and genuine style to therapy, ensuring sessions are collaborative but ultimately led by you.

Primarily working from a Schema Therapy approach, I work closely with clients to gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of their current difficulties in order to create meaningful and long-lasting change in their lives.

Always adapting to the needs of each client, I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions-Focused Therapy.

I am a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist, registered with the HCPC. I qualified as a Psychologist in Australia with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Professional Psychology, after which I have worked across a variety of public and private settings in both Australia and the UK.

I value inclusivity and have experience working with people from many walks of life, including individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals with varying abilities, and people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
