Hello. My name is Philippa. Welcome to my profile. I offer a kind, empathic and professional service in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment.
Life often throws unexpected and difficult times in our path. This in turn can affect us on a day to day basis; leaving us feeling stuck and unable to live in the here and now.
I think that the client is the expert in themselves and that the counselling process can develop that inner knowing, connecting to feelings and thoughts that lie beneath, increasing an understanding of self.
I believe we have the potential to change and through increasing our self awareness, can identify patterns of behaviour which may prevent us from experiencing a more fulfilling and owned life.
I am a Person centred Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and adhere to its Codes of Ethics and Practice.
I also receive monthly professional supervision from a BACP accredited supervisor, as in line with BACP recommendations.
I hold a current enhanced CRB certificate.
