About me

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Holistic Massage -Therapist / Body Worker. Receiving bodywork alongside counselling offers the opportunity to “digest” material that has been brought up.

My background is in the spiritual sciences, and as a family manager (mother) of six, I also have extensive Family - Life-experience from bringing up my own children. Balanced, loving & healthy family life is very close to my heart.

You can choose between

  • person centered/Gestalt/CBT/Sandtray/walk and talk/ transpersonal/+ + + counselling
  • therapeutic Bodywork
  • The combination of the 2 above
  • Family/Parenting support ("Balanced parents" groups, £12/session), and weekly evening "balanced parenting" - group classes (£5) .

Respect for the client’s autonomy, trust in their wisdom and the non- judgmental positive regard creates a safe space for the client to trust their healing process.

I am following the guidance and code of ethics of the profession.

My studio is in the beautiful Dartington Estate.

Further information

Integrative Therapy: Person-centered, Gestalt, CBT (cognitive behavioural), Sand tray, Transpersonal, and Walk and talk in the beautiful Estate.

Embodied therapy: (Mind /body) allows to access and let go of the emotions that have been hold in the body Bodywork will complement counselling and can offer great benefits, for example:  Non-verbal material can emerge, Muscular and tissue tensions can be dissolved, Themes can be accessed on a much deeper level, Lost aspects of ourselves can get re-integrated, growing a greater sense of our own autonomic well-being. Mindful, body -awareness.

Bodywork/Counselling can help access pre-verbal – early childhood / attachment issues.

By respecting your autonomy as a client, trusting in your inner wisdom, you will find a safe space for you to trust the healing process.

The impact of touch ( which increases production of bonding and happy - hormones) and by experiencing the body as a vessel for an evolving soul helps to develop a more positive Body image. This is a truly holistic and integrative approach in respect of the clients' physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.

Creative Therapy using Art/Music and movement:  This humanistic, phenomenological concept is based on our five main human interactions:

     ACTIV                                 PASSIV

·    To see and                         to be seen

·    To sound and                     to be heard

·    To grasp and                      to be touched

·    To push against and           to be hold

·    To lean against and            to have someone’s support

The approach is very experimental. It is person centered and has a lot in common with Gestalt-Therapy.
