About me
Hi there, I'm Peter. Thanks a lot for taking a look at my profile. I am an Accredited Psychotherapist with significant specialist experience working with LGBTQ+ clients around issues of self, sex and relationships, gender identity, family, trauma, physical and mental health, substance use, neurodiversity, education/employment, sociality and loneliness, and multimorbidity. I support clients internationally and offer short- and long-term interventions, to consistently improved wellbeing outcomes. I am the author of two books on psychology and sexual identities: Limbic (Cipher Press, 2022) and Mirrorstage (Cipher Press, 2026).
I utilise a combination of therapeutic theories and clinical approaches to best suit the needs and preferences of the client. I believe this tailoring is most effective in establishing trust and therapeutic rapport between the client and I, providing a 'toolkit' for treatment that is efficient and of value to the client.
I believe that psychotherapy is a collaborative process, and that long-lasting, meaningful change and insight can derive from it. Please let me know if you have any questions about my practice, and if you would like a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your support needs and what would feel right for you in therapy.
