About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I work with work related stress, relationship problems, Race and Identity issues. I have work in private practice as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and clinical supervisor since 1993. I am also a training committee member and teaching faculty member of the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and the Guild of Psychotherapists

I have worked in mental health in a range of capacities since 1988 as a manager, as a teacher, as a Foundation Trust board member and most importantly as a clinician.

I have over 30 years experience of working with people who suffer severe levels of distress and have significantly contributed to improving the quality of life for many Islington residents.

I have taught in several psychotherapy organisations.

I am a founder member of the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

Training, qualifications & experience

I received a Diploma in psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Philadelphia Association in 1995.

I gained a doctorate in clinical science in psychotherapy from the University of Kent at Canterbury in March 2011.

I am an accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator since 2005

I have more than 15 year experience supervising individuals from a variety of training organisations and groups for PACE, City and Hackney Mind and Islington Mind.

I have provided mediation for the corporate sector and for psychotherapy organisations

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
