I specialise in working with both teenagers and adults. Currently working as a school Counsellor in 2 local high schools, I understand the huge importance of a good relationship with teenagers. That we need to feel heard valued and accepted in order to open up, trust and be ourselves, is key to my practice. I understand the complexities of those tricky developmental years and how this can bring questions, confusion, anxieties; all potentially leading to low mood and self esteem. Through empathy and support in whatever it is teenagers are struggling with, I help them to work out how to truly be themselves and to feel confidence and self acceptance. So they can take this into their adult lives.. equipped with the tools to cope better and to be true to themselves and happy.
In my private practise with adults, I work in a similar way where I offer non judgement and a space with which to explore and understand ourselves. We can take our work outside or inside depending on which feels best for you.

Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Experience working with MIND and in two secondary schools and running my own private practice.
I have worked with many clients facing a mixture of issues including bereavement, anxiety, depression, low confidence and self esteem and eating disorders amongst others. I believe that we all have times when we need support, and time for ourselves. My main aim is to develop a non judging and meaningful therapeutic relationship with my clients where you will feel heard and supported as you explore and reflect on you.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Maybe a weekly morning or evening walk sounds good or in a quiet room in central Glossop or at your own house via zoom or telephone. Maybe a mixture of all of the above? I am very flexible..
I work in a person centred way which means I will work with you and follow your lead helping you to find your own answers and solutions to the difficulties you may be facing.
My belief is that the bravest thing to do is to take the first step and then things get easier as you begin to open up and we build a path together, to help you be you in which ever way it feels right.
