About me

I am a psychodynamic Counsellor and Play Therapist. I specialize in working with children, teenagers, families, adults and Couple Counselling. Offering a wide range of creative Counselling and traditional Counselling to help the client both Children and adults acknowledge their situation and improve how they feel about it. Working at the clients pace to achieve their desired goals. I help clients achieve their goals by offering an empathic approach. Molding my approach to the needs of the client this could be by using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including; play therapy, sand tray work, mask work and many other creative techniques as well as traditional talking therapy. I’m passionate about helping clients to improve their relationship with self and others. I am the owner of FLOAT therapy service - For Listening Opportunities & Alternative Therapies. I work closely with schools as well as in private practice with my experience spanning over 20 years.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I have worked with children, schools, families, social care, YOT and private children’s homes for the past 20 years. Offering a variety of therapeutic support to young people and adults with many complex and emotional barriers. I now own Float Therapy Service working in both primary and secondary schools as well as private practice.
