Penelope Mandich MA, MBACP
I am a BACP registered psychotherapist with a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, 3 years of mental health clinical experience and 15 years in oncology nursing. I am situated in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and provide both short term solution based therapy and long term therapy for adults and young people aged 16 and over.
My approach to Therapy
As an integrative therapist, I combine different theoretical approaches (humanistic, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic) to enable a flexible and individual approach to working with each client’s individual needs and goals. I offer both short and long term therapy, depending on each client’s needs and expectations of therapy. I offer a free 15 minute initial phone consultation to enable you to discuss your difficulties and to decide if integrative psychotherapy would be beneficial for you. This will also give you the opportunity to ask questions. If you do would like to continue to therapy, the sessions are 50 minutes and occur once a week.
Can Therapy help?
You may be considering therapy for various reasons; relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, stress, or you may just feel stuck and unable to move forward in life. Therapy can help to unpack your difficulties, gain clarity on a situation and offer a new perspective.
My role is not to give advice, but to facilitate a better understanding of the choices, motivations and patterns of behaviour that impact on your life. I believe you are the expert on yourself and so my approach is to work together to explore your difficulties and find some resolution. This can include building emotional resilience, making changes in your life or coming to terms with a difficult situation.
Taking the first step and making initial contact can be difficult. I understand that the thought of sharing painful experiences, fears and expectations may feel daunting, but therapy provides a confidential, warm and supportive space, where you can feel listened to and explore what is going on without judgment. Should you wish to proceed by making an appointment for a free of charge 15 minute phone call, or if you have any further questions, please contact me for further information on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07780680373 or visit my website, penmandich.com.
