About me

Would you like a made-to-measure recovery programme to fit your issues and conditions?

My clients come to me with a wide range of emotional distress and behaviour difficulties. They tell me they appreciate the fast effective results that my therapy brings them. My private practice is in Bedford which is easily accessible by road or rail from Milton Keynes, Luton and Cambridge areas. I have a comfortable office in my home where my clients can relax in a confidential atsmosphere.

What makes my approach so effective

I use the Human Givens practical solution focused approach to build a unique programme to cover your issues and conditions, so you can move forward quickly with as few sessions as possible. This approach combines a variety of proven therapeutic techniques with the most up-to-date neurobiological and psychological knowledge.

Human givens therapists do not just endlessly listen to you or attempt to dredge up real or imagined miserable memories from the past, since research shows this tends to confuse and upset people when they are vulnerable and can actually make depression and anxiety worse. Neither do we deal in time-wasting and prolonged so-called voyages of "self-discovery'. Instead we offer practical help in the here and now, based on a sound body of scientific knowledge and skills that have been proven to be effective.

We have all been trained and rigorously assessed by MindFields College, the only psychology college in the UK, which is approved by the British Accreditation Council.

You can read more about the Human Givens approach on my website, which you will find at the top of this profile.

So, to summarise:

Human Givens therapy:

  • Promotes long-lasting improvements
  • Takes as few sessions as possible
  • Involves minimal dwelling on the past
  • Explores your individual needs and resources
  • Finds practical solutions to your problems.
