Pauline Hollingsworth BA(Hons) Dip Couns MBACP (Accred)
Do you have anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues or bereavement? Coming to counselling is a good way of addressing these concerns.
Counselling and psychotherapy are listening and talking therapies, in which clients can feel empowered to face their difficulties, to make sense of their lives, to access inner resources and to engage with change and growth.
They are collaborative activities based on trust, openness and personal commitment on both sides.
I work with adults on a one-to-one basis (not couples), doing short or long-term therapy. This could be about a specific difficulty at the moment, a more general sense of something not being right in your life, or your general personal development.
I work during the daytime only, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from my home.
Training, qualifications & experience
You may want to know a little more about me, to begin to decide whether I am the sort of person you could work with and trust.
My experience includes counselling in a hospice, helping people cope with end of life and bereavement, and counselling in a university, helping students with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, insomnia and anger. I have also counselled at a general counselling service.
I am LGBT affirmative.
My qualifications include a Diploma in counselling (Person-Centred approach) and I am studying towards a Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy at a leading London institution. I am an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
