Hi, my name is Pauline and since you are reading my page I imagine you would like some aspect of your life to change. Your concerns may be about difficult emotions that feel overwhelming such as anxiety, depression or anger and you may be struggling to like yourself. Perhaps you have family or relationship issues or would like to work on ways to improve how you relate to people. Or you may be coming to terms with a loss or trauma in your life and are looking to process your experiences and see a way forward. We come to therapy for many reasons.
Life can be tough and sometimes we need extra support. You are not alone, talking to someone who is trained to listen and respond in a certain way can be profoundly helpful. If your emotions are overwhelming or confusing then talking about them can bring clarity. Sharing our anxiety is the first step to making it more manageable, and if you have suffered a deep loss then having someone to walk with you through your grief can help the healing process enormously.
I invite you to sit down with me in a warm, relaxed, safe space where you can tell me what is concerning you and I will listen very carefully without judgement. I can help you make better sense of your experiences together with your thoughts and feelings, and explore options. I help you to uncover meanings and recognise patterns, providing you with greater self-awareness. And I help you to think more kindly of yourself and gain a clearer understanding of your relationships with others.
I offer short, medium and long term work depending on your needs. I will help you develop strategies and ways to cope in the future in a confidential setting.

How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions depends on your needs and we would regularly review our work together to ensure we are making progress that is meaningful to you and the space to decide on how you want to proceed.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
