About me

I am a fully registered and insured psychotherapist and chartered psychologist. I offer therapy sessions to adults by Skype or Zoom. I am not currently offering face-to-face sessions.

I'm an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist. This kind of therapy emphasises the impact of childhood experiences on the difficulties you have as as adult. You may be surprised at how deeply early events can influence your thoughts and feelings, leaving their mark on your emotional world and driving you towards unhelpful ways of functioning.

Psychoanalytic therapy aims to work at a deep level, creating lasting change in personality, and is particularly helpful to people who have complicated, entrenched, or longstanding difficulties.

However, the usefulness of this approach is not limited to these situations as it can be very beneficial in any situation that brings distress or discomfort. It helps you to explore, understand, and resolve what is troubling you, and helps you to create the foundation you need to take new steps in your life - to feel differently, to think differently, and to make new decisions.

Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how we might work together to ease and resolve whatever difficulties you are facing.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
