Dr Paula Reed
I am a Play Therapist and work primarily with children aged between 3 and 12 years of age.
I work part time in independent practice as the rest of the week I am a university lecturer on the Play Therapy MA and in the NHS, as a play therapist.
Play Therapy is a gentle, but powerful way to help children express and communicate their difficulties. I use a range of equipment in my playroom including art, sand tray, miniature world and sensory play.
I see children who are affected by trauma, attachment difficulties, physical illness, bereavement and loss, autistic spectrum disorder, anxiety and others issues. I take referrals form Adoption and Fostering organisations.
I like to work closely with parents/carers throughout the therapy. I can offer Filial Therapy and Circle of Security courses
I am a qualified supervisor and offer supervision to those working with children
