I am a registered and BACP accredited Counsellor with a strong belief in the positive changes that can be brought about through counselling, and of the importance of the relationship between Counsellor and Client. I provide an environment where you are able to explore, process and work through issues in a supportive, safe and non-judgemental manner.

I have 13 years experience delivering group work and one to one work as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy facilitator. I have experience of working with individuals with complex needs including working in short term and long term therapy. I have worked in a wide range of settings including, Private practice, Public sector, Voluntary services and Charitable organisations. I have experience of being a trainer for Motivational interviewing and Thinking skills programmes and through my work I have gained a good understanding of individual needs and the skills required to support people in working through their own unique circumstances and personal issues. I have a passion for supporting positive change in others and have spent a significant period of my career working therapeutically with individuals to help bring about positive changes in their lives.
How might Counselling help?
People access Counselling for a wide range of reasons. Often they feel helpless, unable to cope and can become overwhelmed and feel a sense of being lost or lonely. As a Counsellor I am trained to provide professional support and to create an environment where you are able to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non judgemental manner, helping you to work through issues by providing a therapeutic environment for positive change.
I have worked with a wide range of issues including Anger management, Bereavement, Gambling addiction, Food disorders, Emotional management, OCD, Low self-esteem, Self harm, Gender issues, Relationship problems, Substance misuse, Panic disorders, Depression and Anxiety. This is not an exhaustive list and there are many other issues that can be worked through in Counselling
What to expect from Counselling?
I offer a free initial phone consultation to allow you to explore what to expect from Counselling, and to ask any further questions about entering into Counselling and what this might mean. I recognise this can be a difficult first step and will endeavour to support you through this early period.
The length of counselling sessions are normally 50 minutes.The number of Counselling sessions required can vary greatly depending on the issues and individual clients, this will be discussed with each individual client.
Sessions are normally weekly, however this also varies and can be changed to meet your own individual need. Sessions can be held weekdays, evenings or weekends, please feel free to contact me to discuss.
Counselling is a personal journey where individuals work through issues in a unique and personal way. I will offer you a non-judgemental, safe space where I will offer respect and a relationship that recognises individual choice and supports positive change.Rooms provided are comfortable, safe, confidential and provide an excellent therapeutic environment for counselling.

Location and access
I have a private room at Lynwood House therapy centre situated in the centre of Culcheth, near Warrington.
Rooms are available on the ground floor providing easy access. Please let me know if you require a ground floor room.
Parking is available and very convenient to the practice.
I am able to provide home Counselling visits subject to travelling distance, please phone to discuss your own individual needs.
