About me

If you are struggling to cope with your emotions, stressful life events or relationships and would benefit from some space to explore your issues and gain a better understanding into the causes of your distress, please get in touch.

I am an experienced qualified counsellor, working with young adults who are struggling with todays life pressures and anxieties. My practice includes counselling young adults in secondary school settings and understanding adults who are looking for direction in life.

I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to support you when exploring and expressing any struggles you may be facing that are having detrimental affects on yourself or daily life.

I operate primarily from a person centred approach being mindful that human beings need to feel valued and respected before positive change can come about.

We will work together at your own pace, as expressing personal thoughts and feelings can be difficult and takes time. From there we can examine and challenge these emotions that arise to gain a better understanding and configure a suitable method to overcome them.

My background is humanistic and integrative, sometimes using mindfulness techniques within my work. I have worked with both adults and young people across a very broad range of problems, including :

  • Young Adult counselling
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self Harm
  • Panic Attacks
  • Low Self Esteem
  • Confidence Issues
  • Low Mood
  • Bereavement
  • Anger Issues
  • Confused and feel in despair of life

The use of Humanistic and Cognitive interventions are offered to help you find a route to improved personal functioning and introducing coping strategies that are realistic. My therapeutic work is tailored towards helping you to function when faced with the challenges and stresses of daily life.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and abide by its ethical framework to good practice. I adhere to their code of ethics and have regular supervision to ensure safe practice is maintained.
