Paul Dow MHGI
I am passionate about developing new and innovative ways for people to fulfill their potential and find meaning in their lives. I am particularly interested in how society and communities can begin to create environments that help people of all age groups have their emotional, mental and spiritual needs met in a balanced and positive way.
As a therapist I work with adults and young people who are experiencing emotional and behavioural distress such as depression, anxiety and stress, anger problems, trauma, low self esteem, addiction, obsessions and relationship difficulties.
Using the Human Givens approach, I look to help people move on as quickly as possible by helping them identify unmet emotional needs and rediscover resources they can call upon to help them meets these needs in a balanced and positive way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Human Givens Therapist and a member of the Human Givens Institute. I am also a qualified teacher and have worked extensively in the field of emotional and behavioural difficulties working closely with children, families and schools to help bring about positive change.
I also run training and workshops for people interested in promoting emotional health and wellbeing in their communities andorganisations. This has included delivering training to schools, social work organisations, community education workers, residential workers and buisnesses in the private sector.
I am a director of Listening Stone Ltd, a company who has developed an educational programme in association with Dundee University to help young people develop resilience and life skills needed to manage change and transition successfully.
