Paul Birch Dip NLPt, UKCP Reg, HPD, MNCH (Reg), NHS (Accred) MBA, BA (Hons)
I am a Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy Accredited Psychotherapist (Dip. NLPt) (Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association ), and a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapist and Coach in private practice, based in Ilkley, nr Leeds , West Yorkshire.
I understand the courage required sometimes to take the decision to personally evolve. Maybe you just do not know what the problem is. Perhaps you want to breakthrough that which is holding you back.By providing a caring and safe place for you to grow, I promise to listen to you and not judge you…
Working with a wide range of people, with differing issues, I support and enable them through the many kinds of challenges life can bring both in our personal and professional lives. It can be a big decision to invest in yourself……..
…….underpinning my approach is an unconditional positive regard for people with whom I work. I passionately believe that people have capacity to change, but may need some guidance and help on how to do it. After careful listening to what your issue or desired outcome is, to help you get the best result I may use an integrated approach. This means that we work at a pace and in a way that is most beneficial to you.
At different times of our lives we may have to, or want to, deal with challenging emotional, behavioural and psychological issues. Psychotherapy`s purpose is to increase choice and to facilitate you to a more resourceful state than you currently have access to. As we are all individuals, therapy may be structured or flexible depending upon your needs. Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy draws upon a wide range of other therapies and through working with the conscious and unconscious patterns of behaviour, not currently being experienced positively, understanding can be gained and change initiated in a way to make your life goals achievable.
Our initial meeting provides us with an opportunity of deciding whether to engage in a contract for therapy. We would then agree on outcomes and an appropriate number of sessions. At the end of this period we jointly assess progress and decide what further action is required. If it is not appropriate for us to contract together I will endeavour to provide you with an alternative therapist or agency, should that be required.
