About me

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. It takes great courage to find a counsellor and begin the counselling process. It can be daunting but with my help and support you can overcome this. I am a qualified counsellor who offers a safe, warm, confidential environment for you to explore areas of your life you are struggling with.

Life can sometimes throw curve balls at us and we often do not know what to do or how to overcome them. With my assistance, I can give you the time, space and support to assess what can be done to improve your state of mind. Easing whatever pain you are going through. Maybe something happened in your childhood which is impacting your day to day life. All these experiences can be explored in great depth between us, allowing you to freely speak about your thoughts and feelings. Over time counselling sessions aim to improve how you feel about yourself, your life and initiate healing towards painful experiences that are hindering you.

I am a Humanistic practitioner, who works in a holistic way; drawing on a range of different techniques and approaches. My approach is client-centred, where therapy is specifically tailored to suit the individual’s needs, as I believe that all human beings are unique. I see the counselling process as a collaborative one, based on mutual respect and trust. The counselling process is client led and is dependent on what you want from me as practitioner. So be it, a gentle ear that will listen to you patiently or a more challenging figure that will help you break destructive patterns. It really is an individualist, organic process which is subject to the content that is shared in sessions. My aim is to increases self-expression and self-awareness in clients. Furthermore, I encourage clients to be the catalyst for their own personal development and growth. This can come about in a variety of different ways and forms depending on what the client takes a shine to. I hope by the end of the counselling journey you feel heard, understood, more confident and resourceful.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. I have worked with both adults & young people of different backgrounds and ethnicities. I consider myself a genuine, compassionate, generous individual who will stick by you during the most difficult times in therapy. I hope that the combination of my wisdom, intuition and non-imposing attitude allows the therapeutic process to create lasting change in your life.

I am currently working towards BACP Accreditation and take professional development very seriously to keep my skills & knowledge up to date. I participate in regular clinical supervision and uphold my own professional indemnity insurance.

Please feel free to contact me via Telephone or Email if you have any questions, would like further information or arrange a session.
