About me

Perhaps something has happened in your life that you’re having difficulty coming to terms with – such as illness, bereavement, or some other event or loss.

Maybe you’re feeling low or struggling with anxiety or self-confidence.

Or you might want to make some changes – large or small – and feeling unsure where or how to start.

Counselling and coaching, or a combination of the two, provides a safe space for you to explore such issues – and also the associated thoughts and feelings that you may be finding it hard to talk about with other people - or, perhaps, admit to yourself.

It’s your agenda that matters – not mine – and I work with a wide variety of issues, short-term and longer term.

We can meet at The Rooms at Evelyn Road in Worthing or online (via phone, video, live chat or email) - or we might use a blend of these.

My coaching and counselling approach is rooted in:

·         Person-Centred

·         Transactional Analysis

·         and Gestalt.

I also draw on elements of:

·         Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

·         Solution Focused Brief Therapy

·         Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

·         Mindfulness

Training, qualifications & experience

My professional qualifications include:

·         Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling

·         Diploma in Online Counselling & Psychotherapy

·         Diploma in Online Therapeutic Supervision

·         Use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® (MBTI)

·         Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

·         Advanced Diploma in Professional Coaching and Mentoring

I’m a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Reg. MBACP) and a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Coaching and Counselling:

Fees are for 50 minute sessions for coaching, counselling, or coaching and counselling combined - which may be face-to-face, online or a blend of these.

For our first session I charge a reduced rate of £25, as it will be an opportunity for us to decide whether we will work well together.

After that it's £50 per session.

Alternatively, you can pay for a block of sessions up front, in which case I would offer a 10% discount for early payment.

A lot of clients come weekly - especially at the start - but I'm also open to fortnightly sessions which can help with affordability as well as allowing more time for reflection and experimentation in between our sessions.

Discount available for trainee therapists undertaking personal therapy hours towards their core training or whilst training to work online.

Coaching and/or Counselling Supervision:

1:1: £60 per hour

Groups of up to 4 members:

2 hours: £40 each member

1.5 hours: £30 each member

Discount available for counsellors in training and supervisors in training or who are training work online.
