About me

About me

A warm welcome to my profile. I’m Paige, a health psychologist passionate about supporting individuals to bring about change in their life. I understand that making the decision to reach out for therapy can feel daunting, but I want to ensure you that I provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space for you to explore your emotions and behaviours to address challenges and build resilience.

I have 5 years experience of working with individuals with long-term health conditions, in both the NHS and a research capacity. Whether you're struggling with low mood, anxiety, fatigue or feeling stuck trying to make meaningful lifestyle changes, I’m here to help you navigate the psychological side of your health.

Therapy

Therapy with me is a partnership. We will begin by using the first few sessions to get to know you and to build a therapeutic relationship, which will be the foundation of our work together. We'll work together to develop a personalised treatment plan that respects your unique experiences and goals and I will regularly review this plan with you to ensure your needs are being met.

I work with a variety of difficulties including anxiety, health anxiety, low mood, stress and loss of identity to name a few. I am specialised in working with individuals with long term health conditions such as Chronic Pain, ME/CFS, Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I also have experience and expertise in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I like to work in a flexible and collaborative way, integrating a variety of therapeutic approaches within our work together. Approaches can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. Sessions are interactive and may include practical exercises, reflective discussions, and goal-setting to support your progress.

The Initial Meeting

Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, which is why I offer a free 15-minute zoom or telephone consultation. This gives you the chance to share your current concerns, learn more about how I work and ask any questions that you have. If we decide to move forward, I will provide you with my service agreement and we can schedule your first session.
