About me
There's no denying it - being human really can be tough. Today, even with 24/7 ‘expert’ advice in our pockets, we can still feel lost and alone in life's struggles. Life can be overwhelming, confusing, stressful and painful - you don't have to face these experiences alone. I can be alongside you, in a safe space, as we uncover your way through the challenges of being human.
As a person-centred counsellor, I’ve provided a supportive, therapeutic space for adults and young adults facing issues around anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, relationships, bereavement, spirituality, stress, workplace and education pressures, low self-esteem and more. I also feel I have a strong awareness of issues surrounding social media and the climate and nature crisis.
In our sessions, you can trust me to listen to you, without judgement, and be there alongside you wherever you feel you need to go. In this dedicated, regular time where it feels safe to be 'you', you may begin to relate to your experiences in new ways and see ways forward that you couldn't see before. There's no 'wrong answer' in our sessions - only what feels right for you.
When we go to family, friends, and peers we can worry about what they think of us or feel inclined to take advice we’re not sure about. By reconnecting with yourself in our sessions, I believe you can begin to take your own advice, explore your options and take steps towards feeling realigned with who you are.
To learn more about how I could help, please get in touch to arrange a free 30-minute no-obligation consultation session. In this, we can say hello and explore what sessions together could look like. I offer sessions on weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings.
The first step in seeking help can often be the hardest and you’re already part of the way.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a young adult, I experienced my own mental health issues and sought help through talking therapy which allowed me to move through these struggles. It was these personal experiences that then inspired me to train in therapeutic counselling.
My training and qualifications:
- ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- ABC Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2021)
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor trained in the person-centred approach. I am a Registered Member MBACP of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My membership number is 390997.
I follow the BACP Ethical Framework in my practice and follow their requirements for continuing professional development. I have regular clinical supervision to help me support my clients in the best way I possibly can.
My experience
During my professional training, I volunteered at two community counselling agencies, offering online video, phone and face to face sessions with adult and young adult clients. I also volunteered at the Samaritans helpline for three years, providing emotional listening support to people in distress by telephone, email, text and face to face.
The person-centred approach to counselling focuses on each client’s individual experiences of life. This approach means I can work with clients facing a wide range of issues in a safe, supportive, and effective way.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
