Padraic Devlin, MNCS (Acc/Reg), MBACP
Welcome to my page. I’m Padraic, a Mid-Ulster based Integrative Counsellor. I use a variety of methods and approaches, but everything that we do will be tailored around you. You are central as we take this journey to wellness together.
I work with children (aged 8+), young people and adults from all walks of life. We are all unique individuals, therefore your counselling experience will be unique to you. I believe irrespective of the approach we take; the most important thing is the therapeutic relationship which is key to successful therapy.
I work from offices in Antrim, Cookstown and Dungannon. I also provide online therapy working with clients across the world.
When I was a teen it didn't feel there was much support with mental health. Maybe it was there but it wasn’t apparent. In this day and age, I don’t believe any person, young or old should have to wait weeks upon weeks waiting to speak to someone. If you are experiencing difficulties, making that first call or sending that first text can feel challenging, or even scary and overwhelming. Before making contact you will have lots of questions and fears, “am I doing the right thing”, “will I connect with this counsellor”, “am I ready”. All of these questions and fears are totally normal. Having the courage to open up is huge and you deserve to be heard. No one should have to go through difficult times on their own.
If you're able to make that first step by contacting me, from that first contact I will provide a caring, safe, friendly, professional, respectful and positive experience for you. I always say that we are on a journey and this can be an amazing one. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I'm here to walk the path alongside you.
I am here NOT to talk at you, but to HEAR you. I am here NOT to judge, but to pass NO judgement. I am here NOT to abandon you, but to BE THERE for you.
