About us

Ongo Talk was set up because we believe that coaching, counselling and psychotherapy should be available to everyone in our communities.   Empowering people to help themselves was a significant reason for developing a service that is available at any point in people’s lives when they need extra help and support, not solely in time of crisis.

Ongo Talk is an affordable counselling and life coaching service that helps people who have a range of mental health and psychological issues to develop their confidence, skills and well-being to enable them to move towards improving their life.

Counselling and Coaching are FREE within CLLD Areas of Scunthorpe. And if not eligible a small more affordable fee will be charged. You will receive support from our well-being coach whilst awaiting your first counselling/coaching session. We have a short waiting list to be seen. Our team are 100% driven in being part of your journey to put difficulties in a better place. Seeing you grow through recognition, that you can be the one to change your life and realising that you can do this through your own abilities is our ethos.

Ongo talk has already helped many on this journey we call life to be able to put things into a more manageable space. We currently have over 130 clients within the CLLD area. Our team of counsellors, life coaches and the well-being coach are all very passionate about what they do and being present and above all listening to your needs. We pride ourselves on being able to offer affordable counselling to those in need, especially in today’s current climate. Our Fees are free counselling/coaching for those in CLLD Area. British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
