When it's hard to find the right words..............................
In times of crisis we can all feel overwhelmed. Akoma Healing H’Arts provides a space for you to work on your difficulties and find creative solutions.
Making art is therapeutic, talking about your art can help you make sense of your feelings, thoughts and moods.
I have lived experience of emotional and psychological difficulties and am an active member of Action For M.E. the UK’s leading charity for people affected by the long-term, disabling condition (CFS, or M.E./CFS).

Testimonials
‘Late last year, we were forunate enough to work alongside Ms Olatunde Spence for a documentary on mental health and wellbeing in professional sport.
Having previously suffered from depression, our guest was treated with extreme care by Ms Spence. She was supportive in her approach, as well as friendly and sensitive to our guests past and current mental and emotional state. Throughout the session, Ms Spence remained effortlessly caring and gentle, taking her time to help the guest to understand art therapy and its benefits and how to go about working on their piece of art, introducing them to art materials and encouraging their creativity.'

"The art therapy sessions allowed me to rekindle my creative and innovative self which had been suppressed by numerous life issues and experiences. It provided me with a platform to stop, think and reflect on my journey in life and to reprocess all my worries and concerns to move forward with my life(Counselling student).
