Olatunde Spence MA Art Psychotherapy, HCPC Reg. BAAT Member. BACP (Member)
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
― Maya Angelou.
I am a specialist trauma therapist providing trauma treatments for PTSD to both adults and children. As a trauma therapist, I know it can be frightening to revisit a traumatic event.
A traumatic event can overwhelm us, leaving us feeling frightened and unable to make sense of our feelings and thoughts. A traumatic experience whether recent or in the past can continue to impact health and wellbeing. By using trauma-informed approaches I can support you to work on your difficulties, reduce your anxiety, manage panic attacks and reduce intrusive thoughts and feelings.
Working together we can explore the issues you are facing, at your pace.
Trauma can affect you in different ways, you may:-
- Avoid reminders of the traumatic event
- Re-live the event through distressing, unwanted memories, vivid nightmares and/or flashbacks
- Be fearful, angry or feel flat or numb
- Struggle with poor sleep
- Have panic attacks
- Be irritable or snappy
- Feel like you have no control over your mood
If you would like to talk about the difficulties you are facing you can email or call me to book an initial appointment.

I highly recommend Olatunde, she is an exceptional psychotherapist and has been wholly present with me in a deeply holding and professional manner, I began trauma therapy with her two years ago for adverse childhood experiences and at the beginning of our journey together Olatunde drew a picture of herself and I holding hands at the bottom of a mountain and she said together we will climb to the top and down the other side and I won’t let go of your hand and to this day she has remained true to her word.
‘Late last year, we were fortunate enough to work alongside Ms. Olatunde Spence for a documentary on mental health and wellbeing in professional sport.
Having previously suffered from depression, our guest was treated with extreme care by Ms. Spence. She was supportive in her approach, as well as friendly and sensitive to our guest's past and current mental and emotional state. .'
