About me
Nykola – Integrative Counsellor | Breathwork Coach | EFT & Sound Practitioner
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile.
Are you thinking about making some changes in your life, but feel unsure about where to begin? Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a loss, experiencing anxiety, or simply longing for more clarity and calm. Whatever brings you here, I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and gentle encouragement. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
I am Nykola, a fully qualified integrative counsellor with a person-centred foundation. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. I offer a range of therapeutic tools—not just through talking, but also through creative and somatic methods that can support you when words are hard to find.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Together, we will explore what feels most helpful for you in a safe, supportive, and grounded space.
Having experienced many of life’s twists and turns myself, I understand firsthand how powerful and transformative counselling can be. It is this lived understanding that underpins the way I hold space for others—with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for your unique journey.
Creative methods such as drawing, painting, sand trays, nesting dolls, or stones can support the therapeutic process. I also offer Breathwork and EFT (Tapping), which can help with emotional release and regulation. I work holistically, recognising that emotional experiences are often held in both the mind and the body.
I have over 20 years of experience working with children and young people, and I currently combine school counselling with private practice and agency work. I have a deep understanding of the challenges young people face today, including issues around identity, neurodiversity, and emotional overwhelm.
Alongside counselling, I also offer sound therapy as a separate practice. This can be a gentle and grounding way to support emotional wellbeing through vibrational and energetic work.
Above all, I aim to offer a space where you feel welcomed just as you are. I bring warmth, a genuine interest in you and how to support you, and—when it feels right—a gentle sense of humour to the work. If this resonates with you, I would be happy to connect and see if you feel comfortable to begin our counselling journey together.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
