PSYCHOTHERAPY GROUPS at Number42: we are currently offering a Mixed Group on Thursday mornings, 7.30am - 9am and a Men's Group on Monday evenings from 8pm -9.30pm.
Who is it for?
Group psychotherapy can help people with a wide range of emotional difficulties it is particularly suited to those who would like to improve the way they relate to others offering the chance to find out how you are seen. A therapy group can be seen as a microcosm of society. As such it offers an opportunity to examine and understand the impact upon us of the world around us.
What to expect?
Groups at Number42 can be of varying sizes, a common number is eight, but they can be more. They take the form of an open conversation with no pre-set topics. Group members are encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality. Relationships in the group develop and provide a way of revealing how past experiences influence the present offering some choice going forward.
You would have one or more individual meetings with the group therapist to see whether the group would be helpful for you and, if so, to help you prepare to join it.
The group will run. Fees are negotiated with the group convener.

MEN'S GROUP
Mondays 8:00-9:30 pm
Paul Atkinson and Jason Wright have been involved in men's groups, the politics of masculinity, and psychotherapy since the 1970's. For the last 20 years or more, we have both been working as analytical psychotherapists in private practice in London.
We are organising an ongoing men's therapy group, based at London Bridge. Rather than setting an agenda, we will invite group members to bring their own experiences to each meeting. As a group, we will find ways to work with and bear them.
We intend to offer space for 10-12 people, and will ask you for a commitment of 10 meetings. Our fee will be based on a sliding scale according to income.
