British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
If you'd like to book an appointment or if you have any questions then please contact me on my confidential mobile 07447210111 or my confidential business email email@example.com
Private work can be a flexible arrangement and I offer short and long term sessions depending on the Initial assessment and the needs identified.
Initial assessments may take 1-1.5 hours per session. This is a chance for us to meet in person and for you to decide if I am someone that you would feel comfortable to work with. There is no pressure to decide at this point as I always encourage you to go away and have some time to reflect and contact me with your decision in your own time.
Initial assessment - £55 per session (1-1.5 hours) from private practice.
Counselling sessions - £45 per session (50 minutes) from private practice.
Initial Assessments and 1:1 counselling in Schools, Home & Colleges will be assessed according to need, from £55.
My fees are negotiable in certain circumstances. Reduced rates can be discussed for trainee counsellors, students, senior citizens and individuals on low incomes.
Cancelled sessions are expected to be paid for, in full, if under 24 hours notice is given.
I will endeavour to offer an alternative day/time in the same week if possible, so as to provide continuity of the therapeutic relationship.
