About me

I am a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental therapist who engages with clients from all backgrounds to work through psychological distress by collaboratively creating solutions to your unique challenges.

I believe your experiences and struggles are often a result of environmental factors and past events and therefore can be located externally to you rather than feeling like you are the problem.

I have a specialism working with clients from the LGBTQ+ community and other sexuality, gender and relationship diverse clients and am an accredited Pink Therapist meaning I have passed through further training and experience in this field.  Therefore if you are wanting to explore gender, sexuality or diverse relationship (polyamorous, open-relationships) subject matter I am able to offer you the space to do this in a non-judgmental way without having to explain the details of terminology or context.

However, that doesn't mean I only see clients from this group so if you want to explore any distress caused by whatever life has thrown at you please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I am currently working on my doctoral research into sexual identity development considering online and offline identity presentation.

My pronouns are they/them.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative therapist using modalities including person-centred, compassion focused, solution focused, narrative and mindfulness based cognitive therapies; I am a qualified EMDR practitioner and advanced clinical hypnotherapist.

I specialise in working with gender, sexuality and relationship diverse clients and supervise people working in this area or as one off consultant support for those wanting guidance working with specific LGBTQ+ clients.

I also offer clinical supervision in a non-judgmental, warm and empathic way and enjoy collaborating and supporting supervisees to work through their challenges with all kinds of client work.

I currently offer video and telephone appointments.

I have worked as a therapist in voluntary, private and public sectors.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
