Hi, my name is Nishita and I am a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist. I have over 10 years of experience working with vulnerable adults in the field of mental health both in clinical and forensic settings, 4 years' experience working for an IAPT service within the NHS and I am an accredited facilitator with experience conducting groups for stress management, mindfulness and for those with long term conditions. I am a fully qualified and experienced BABCP registered psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and experience working with adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders.
I believe in using integrated approaches to adapt my way of working for each client; integrating practical coping skills together with addressing the root causes of the problem; enabling me to work short-term on a specific aspect of a person's life or work on a life long problem.
I work collaboratively to see the world as you do and then offer an alternative perspective to your problems. The emphasis is on developing skills to be self-reflective and be able to self-manage your difficulties in future in order to cope with the challenges of life more effectively.
