Hello...My name is Nirm and this is my story.
Please understand that I know how making the decision to undergo counselling or therapy can make you feel apprehensive or even overwhelmed. That’s to be expected. You need to find the right Counsellor or Therapist - one you feel comfortable with, who gives you that vital sense of connection, safety and support.
I love what I do. It’s almost impossible to describe how much I enjoy helping people towards a happier life.
Part of this comes from meeting and helping different kinds of people - from so many diverse walks of life. Adults, young people and children - professional people, working people, retired people.
As a Staffordshire therapist, I support them all through numerous issues.
It’s my privilege to witness the positive difference that counselling makes to their lives.
How I work
I provide face to face counselling and therapy and work both short and long term with Adults, Older Adults, Children and Young People in Tamworth, Birmingham and the surrounding areas of Staffordshire and West Midlands. I can also work online via Zoom and Telephone.
We begin with a free, no-obligation phone call. We’ll talk through your difficulties. Then you can decide if I’m the counsellor for you. If so, we’ll book our first appointment.
I use an integrative approach, so as to give you the best support, suited to your unique, individual needs. These include -
Person Centred Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Creative Solution Brief Therapy
I offer therapy for a wide range of issues which include Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Relationships and Stress.
Your first positive step
Choosing to have Counselling isn’t always an easy step - but it’s certainly a positive one. Work with me, and you’ll enjoy a warm, welcoming and supportive space - somewhere you can express your feelings openly and freely and gain a deeper insight into your difficulties.
You’ll give your time. In return, I’ll offer you respect, empathy and non-judgemental honesty. Everything we discuss will be confidential, as we work together to explore your reasons for seeking counselling. I aim to help you find better ways to understand yourself - to help you to manage and perhaps make changes in the way you think or behave. In short, we’ll do whatever it takes to enhance your mental and emotional well-being.
I’d love to hear from you
Find out more. There’s plenty to read about on my website. Then give me a call. I’d love to hear from you - and remember … I’m here to help!

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
