About me

We all have different reasons why we might be considering starting the counselling process. It could be that you need some temporary support for an issue that you are currently struggling with. Or you may feel that it is time to address something that you have been carrying with you for a long time. Whatever your reasons, finding a safe space to talk freely about what is on your mind could be the first step towards feeling brighter and lighter. Whether you have a clear goal in mind of what you want out of therapy or whether you want to give it a try and see where it takes you, I am here to offer you support on that journey.

I offer counselling in a person-centred way. This means I am attentive and focussed on what you bring, offering a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings which might sometimes feel difficult or uncomfortable. I’ll be alongside you with each step you take and will be respectful and non-judgemental, always aiming to understand your world and viewpoint which we can explore together. I will support you to discover more of yourself and help you to find your own answers to your difficulties.

I work with children, young people, adults and couples.

If you feel ready to take those first steps, then please contact me today.

Training, qualifications & experience

I initially studied Psychology and later qualified as a primary school teacher. I have worked with children across all ages and in various school settings. I qualified as a counsellor in 2020 and moved on to supporting young people and their families as part of the Youth Justice Service. I have worked with children, young people, families and couples throughout my career and decided to start my own private practice in 2024.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am committed to the BACP’s ethical framework which makes sure my work is ethical and safe.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and all documents are stored securely in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
