About me

My passion is to help people. I feel that through counselling I can help you to gain a greater insight into your own individual struggles. By being aware of the way our minds work, we can develop tools that can help us cope in the mean time and also resolve more deep seated issues. I see counselling as a very down-to-earth profession and I base everything we do on a strong, respectful and caring client/therapist relationship. It is my belief that everybody can benefit from the integrative approach I use to counsel; irrespective of ones particular difficulties or backgrounds. I think therapy can help in all aspects of our everyday lives, and that counselling is a very normal part of a healthy and happy existence.

What I offer:

An integrative approach to treating, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, dealing with loss and any other emotional distress.

I offer a non-judgemental, safe space to talk.

I understand that it is often difficult to reach out for help and talk about unwanted feelings.  Through talk, self reflection and guidance we can get in touch with these feelings and understand them more clearly. If I had to define psychological health I would look at how we function and adapt to everyday life. What are the struggles that one must go through every day to be able to function and cope?

I see counselling and self-reflection as the opposite of selfishness; I see it as a tool that helps us to be able to take responsibility over our own feelings and allow us to have better control over the direction of our lives. So that we may be better functioning and content for ourselves and those around us.
