Nikki Bruce Dip PST, Cert CC Relate, MBACP. Counsellor, Psychosexual Therapist
Hi, my name is Nikki Bruce and I am a very experienced Relate-trained Relationship Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist. Over the last fifteen years I have provided thousands of hours of counselling and therapy with Peterborough Relate and undergone continuous and extensive professional learning and training.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I provide effective and affordable relationship counselling and sex therapy to individuals and couples in the area of Peterborough and Oundle. Every one of my clients is assured strict client confidentiality, professional expertise and an understanding and empathetic ear.
As a relationship counsellor I can help with all aspects of relationship issues, such as communication breakdowns, affairs, jealousy and lack of trust, to name but a few.
As a psychosexual therapist I treat problems people have in the bedroom. The most common issue I help people with is loss of desire, but I also treat other specific issues such as erectile problems, premature ejaculation for men, painful sex and vaginismus for women. These are just a few of the wide range of sexual problems I can help you with. And don't worry, we all keep our clothes on in the room!
I am also skilled and experienced in helping people with behaviour problems in their relationships which mean they are sometimes abusive towards their partner or even violent. I find it especially rewarding to help couples and families who want to stay together and I do this by addressing the root of the problem and not judging or shaming anyone for their distressing situation.
I believe relationships are fundamental to our well-being and happiness. Because of that, I believe the client-counsellor relationship is of paramount importance and so offer your first session free for us to get to know one another, explore your issues and agree a way forward to tackle them.
If you choose to work with me as your counsellor I’m sure we will make a positive change to your life.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
