About me

I am a qualified Person - Centred counsellor, in which I have extensive experience in a wide range of issues including; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bereavement and relationships to name a few. Counselling is about you and supporting you along your journey, to explore in a safe confidential environment without judgement.

I believe that our work together will provide you both the space that is needed to explore feelings and emotions, through my empathic listening. My work has been with both young and older adults. I work ethically and comply with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am also a registered member. My counselling training has allowed me to work with many age groups from 5 year old children through to 90 year old clients. I have worked with many charities and organisations including ADAS, Enfield Parent and Children, Mind and Age UK as well as working in Private Practice for a number of years.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

If you decide to come and see myself for counselling our first introductory session will be £25.00 for a fifty minute session. We will discuss your counselling needs, what you would like to work with and if you require short or longer term counselling. If you decide to go ahead with counselling we will discuss times and availability. After 6 weeks together we will review your counselling needs, this is so if circumstances have changed I can review counselling techniques and theory so I am able to deliver the best possible treatment for your counselling needs.

I am also a provider for Private Health Insurance companies including, AVIVA Health, Simplyhealth, WPA and VitalityHealth.
