Nicola Swann Pg Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy
I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor which means I practice honestly, empathically and with the highest level of respect for all my clients whatever their past, present or issues they may be seeking support for.
Person centred counselling believes you are the expert within your own life, you know yourself better than anyone, as hard as that may be to believe. I provide a service that helps people to see this, you may share thoughts or feelings with another but who really knows you better than you?
Whilst I follow the client’s path, I help to refocus the thoughts, words and feelings that can sometimes offer high levels of confusion or distress,
Why am I feeling like this?
What makes me behave the way I do?
Where do I go from here?
Who am I now?
I will never give advice or be able to provide you with the answers to these questions but I can support you to find them within yourself. Empowerment can be life changing. I genuinely believe that by simply increasing self awareness, you can unlock what many are hoping to find.
Some people do not wish for answers, counselling can be a confidential space just for you, time dedicated for you. If you wish to speak, I will listen, if you are hoping to gain closure or process what is causing you distress, I can support you with this.

Introduction to Life Coaching
I have a client base who have sought support for many different issues, confidence, relationship issues, marriage breakdown, coming to terms with their sexuality, childhood abuse, bereavement, anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorder.
I also have experience and work with clients who prefer to work in under a more directive and solution focussed approach which can help with issues such as aggressive behaviour, low motivation and panic attacks. Clients benefit from these sessions as they can offer life tools that can help to control different symptoms.
